Ofranda/jertfa de fructe adusa sfintilor

Imi poate da cineva mai multe detalii despre practica aducerii de ofrande/jertfe de fructe sfintilor, despre care vorbeste Ioan Damaschin ? Ce semnifica ea in ortodoxie ? Mai e actuala azi ? Azi am aflat pentru prima oara de ea. Multumesc.
